The ability to add unlimited users is a rare feature; but with no workflow automation, a growing team would perform increasing manual work. For example, you can set tasks and reminders linked to a deal, but can’t trigger them to happen when the deal status changes.

Managing contacts and deals is intuitive, as the software prompts you to import new data and update deals. Although advanced features like custom fields aren’t available, small teams can still benefit from the in-built phone, plus the call and email logging function. Lead generation is limited, but Freshworks can pull leads from webforms: this is valuable if you have substantial website traffic.

It is highly user-friendly and provides a variety of tools to manage the customer journey. Additionally, the software is highly customizable, allowing users to adjust it to their individual needs. Key features of the platform include email synchronization, the ability to send and receive emails, the ability to take notes during meetings, and the ability to view all communications on one timeline.  

Additionally, the main feature of the platform is the ability to manage contacts, which organizes clients and potential clients into a single database and supports unlimited contacts. Monday Sales CRM also offers email support, with templates that can save time by automatically completing personalized emails. 

In addition to automation, businesses can benefit from the ability to create tailored workflows to reduce administrative burden and improve communication. However, this requires a higher-level plan than the basic one, which begins at $14 per seat monthly. The number of activities per seat is limited to 250 per month, unless a higher plan is upgraded.  

Monday CRM offers four tiers, ranging from the Basic plan, which is a $10 monthly subscription, to Enterprise plans, which can be tailored to meet the needs of a larger business. Each plan must have at least three seats, making it less attractive for solo businesses.

Although Zoho CRM doesn’t offer bulk emailing on the free plan, you can use Zoho Campaigns to send up to 12,000 bulk emails a month, for free, to 2,000 contacts. Similar to Hubspot, Zoho’s CRM includes website visitor tracking and web-to-lead forms, which can generate leads for businesses with high website traffic.

Possibly the most competitive of Zoho CRM’s many features is the ability to set workflow rules, which frees up time for staff to nurture relationships. For example, emails can be triggered when a deal stage changes, and tasks can be assigned to specific sales reps when new leads are added.

Certain features remain limited on the free Zoho CRM: reports are not customizable, dashboards are unavailable, and most integrations—including with Google Workspace and Slack—are reserved for paid plans only.

The paid tier also lets you record video calls and play them back or share them with colleagues, unlike the free tier.

The free tier has end-to-end encryption for all your communication, which prevents data leaks or malicious actors from snooping in on them. There's also no limit on how long you can make video calls.
